We here at One Degree Forward are sensitive to the logistical difficulties of operating in the developing world, particularly in a country known for its corruption.
As a non-profit organization, we want to assure our donors that 100% of donations go towards One Degree Forward, and we strive to be as transparent and open with our transactions as possible. Click here to view a copy of our tax exempt, non-profit, 501c3 status from the IRS.
How We Operate: One Degree Forward operates in two separate capacities: We primarily operate as an organization that researches potential grant recipients, garners private donations, and administers the grants accordingly.
Our second capacity in which we operate is to match deserving recipients with private sponsors who are willing to take a certain individual/family under their wing to mentor and support them. Sponsoring a child or a family involves much more than simply financial support, as many recipients also need encouragement, guidance, moral support, follow-up, or maybe just someone to practice their English with. Those who choose to sponsor a child will be given instructions on how to logistically support a grant recipient and will always have the staff at One Degree Forward to come to for guidance and direction.
Listed below are receipts for past grant recipients, which we require as a stipulation of being able to receive a grant:
